USDOT lettering rules, state by state

Every state follows the federal marking rule, but a dozen add their own: California wants a CA number, Missouri and Colorado add a state suffix, Illinois and Pennsylvania spell out their own lettering specs. We keep a plain-English guide for each one, with the source so you can check it yourself.
