Leatherette Patch Hats

A leatherette patch hat starts as a pre-made patch with its border already stitched. We put your logo into it with a laser, which chars the surface and leaves your artwork in near-black against the leather. Then it goes onto the cap under heat and pressure, right here in the shop.

Because it is a laser and not a print, the patch has no ink to crack or peel, and the look is the same on the first hat as on the hundredth. The trade-off is that the laser burns in one tone — so bold logos, lettering and line art come out best, and a photograph does not.

What You Choose

  • Two caps: a structured Richardson 112 trucker with a snapback, or an unstructured low profile dad hat in bio-washed cotton twill
  • Dozens of cap colors — 27 on the trucker, 39 on the low profile
  • Three patch shapes: a 2.95″ × 1.96″ rectangle, the same size in an oval, or a 2.51″ round
  • Two leatherette colors, dark brown or brown — both etch to near-black
  • Your own logo, your own text, or both
  • One hat minimum, and no setup fee
