Leatherette Patch Hats

A leatherette patch hat starts as a pre-made patch with its border already stitched. We put your logo into it with a laser, which chars the surface and leaves your artwork in near-black against the leather. Then it goes onto the cap under heat and pressure, right here in the shop.

Because it is a laser and not a print, the patch has no ink to crack or peel, and the look is the same on the first hat as on the hundredth. The trade-off is that the laser burns in one tone, so bold logos, lettering and line art come out best, and a photograph does not.

Printed Trucker Hats

A printed trucker hat skips the patch. Your artwork is pressed straight onto the front of the cap as a full-color DTF transfer, so photos, gradients and fine detail all print. Both printed hats are five-panel caps: the front is one seamless panel, so the print goes on flat with no center seam running through your design. Choose the Valucap VC700 with its foam front, or the Richardson 112FP, the five-panel version of the classic Richardson 112. The print area on either is 4.5″ × 2.5″.

  • Five caps and a leather patch beanie: a structured Richardson 112 trucker with a snapback, an unstructured low profile dad hat in bio-washed cotton twill, a structured Realtree camo cap with a mesh back, and two five-panel printed truckers, the Valucap VC700 with a foam front and the Richardson 112FP, plus the Sportsman SP12 cuffed beanie with a leather patch
  • Dozens of cap colors: 27 on the trucker, 39 on the low profile, 7 on the Realtree camo, 14 on the printed trucker and 14 on the Richardson 112FP
  • For patch hats, three patch shapes: a 2.95″ × 1.96″ rectangle, the same size in an oval, or a 2.51″ round
  • Two leatherette colors, dark brown or brown (both etch to near-black)
  • For printed hats, a full-color print up to 4.5″ × 2.5″ across the front
  • Your own logo, your own text, or both
  • One hat minimum, and no setup fee
