Missouri Political Yard Sign Rules
What Missouri law actually says about campaign and political yard signs — where they are protected, where they get removed, and how close you can get to the polls. Every rule below links to the text it came from.
Missouri's zone is 25 feet from the building's outer door closest to the polling place, and posting signs inside it is a class four election offense. An election authority may raise it to 50 feet, so check locally.

Stealing or defacing a campaign yard sign on private property is itself an election offense in Missouri. The property owner keeps their own rights, and a candidate may collect their signs after election day.

Missouri's transportation department names political signs among the items prohibited on state right-of-way and removes them to the nearest maintenance facility. Erecting a sign there without written permission is a misdemeanor. MoDOT notes roadsides start at the edge of the pavement and can run from 30 feet to 300 feet or more, and will help identify the boundary if you ask.

Deed restrictions and covenants may not prohibit political signs in Missouri. An association may set reasonable rules on time, size, place, number and manner, and may only remove a sign in listed circumstances after three days written notice naming the rule broken.
The rule that catches most people
Wherever you are, the public right-of-way is where signs get taken. It reaches further from the pavement than most people expect, and it usually includes the ditch. The field test: if the sign sits between a utility pole and the road, or on the road side of the fence line, it is probably on public land.
And remember your town has its own sign ordinance. State law is the floor, not the whole answer — size and placement on a city lot are usually set locally, and the local rule is the one enforced by the officer who drives past your sign every day.
